About Coach

I started doing CrossFit in 2011 during one of my longer internships for PT school. In high school, I played Varsity Soccer, and Tennis and brief dabblings in indoor track until college when I transitioned to intramural sports and fitness classes including Yoga, Zumba, Spinning, and running 5-10miles on the weekends. My first CrossFit class I believe had 100 wall balls, and despite my previous athletic endeavors I was smoked...and hooked. Particularly, I was hooked by the simplicity and true efficiency of CrossFit and how it let my inner athlete come out to play and challenged me in so many different ways. I got to try basic gymnastics and lifting and truly play with my body like I did when I was a kid.

Turning Point

My CrossFit and Physical Therapy journey started at the same time. Two worlds I enjoyed but even my colleagues would doubt the combing of the two— “Is it safe? They break them you fix them right? Some bodies just can’t do that”. It continues to pain me to hear my colleagues rush to the answer “just stop doing CrossFit” after an injury. To this my answer is always the same. CrossFit is safe, 100% scalable, and mechanically beautiful when done under the watchful eye of a well-trained coach and with a respect for the body's limitations. I work in a CrossFit gym because I believe this and I use the CrossFit methodology with all of my patients from infants to the elderly, to postpartum moms and athletes of all shapes and sizes to improve their longevity and quality of life, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Motivation & Passion

I believe in beautiful movement, and I believe our bodies were created to maintain this movement throughout our lifetime. CrossFit is a great tool to get there. The certifications, programming, and education coming from the top are biomechanically sound and well-researched and at the forefront of healthcare and wellness. The CrossFit community is open and supportive and amazing both locally and globally, I know what Crossfit has done for my whole family and I would love to share that with you.
